Monkeys and Beavers and Owls, Oh My!

Since my horrible Monday stupidity, things have been looking up, relatively anyway.  Eben has been so fun lately.  He is pulling himself up to standing on anything and everything possible, sometimes hurting himself of course (he has a little bruise on his cheek today from smashing into the side of the bathtub while I was brushing my teeth this morning).  He also tries to climb up us and clings on like a monkey (I like to pretend he is hugging me).  He is laughing a ton now too...sometimes a very fake laugh and sometimes at absolutely nothing (I left the room yesterday while he was in his highchair eating a snack and I could hear him laughing while he was looking into the empty kitchen - I think we have ghosts...).

Our son has also suddenly become a beaver.  He has two teeth...no, not two on the top or two on the bottom, but one on his top right and one on his bottom right.  Though this is not why he is a beaver...he is chewing his crib leaving teeth marks all over it.  So, to Amazon I went to buy a bumper for the top of the crib front.  I thought I would get away with just buying one for the front, but today Eben discovered the side rails too, so I am going to be thrifty and make side bumpers.

Eben has turned into a night owl now too...which is very frustrating for me.  He has been getting up numerous times a night, wanting a bottle once or twice, and this is exhausting.  Last night he was up sobbing at midnight and wouldn't go back to bed until 1:00am.  I have never wanted to do the "cry it out" method, but now I am strongly considering it because this is getting ridiculous (it doesn't help that we are forced to share a room with him until June and he has now learned to stand up...).  If any of you have any advice, I would LOVE to hear it. Written on my to-do list is to go to the library to get the Ferber book.  And, since I just complained about Eben, I will end with a funny bath pic and his 9 month stats to make me smile again :)
