Our Thanksgiving and Christmas Begins!

So this is a little delayed...but I have been busy.  MUCH busier than I ever thought I would be with photography stuff this fall.  I had many shoots with friends and then friends of friends started contacting me and now I am booked until Christmas - well on my available dates anyway.  I am just hoping that the weather will cooperate!  And I am looking forward to a much needed slower season.  I feel like all I ever do is sit at this computer and edit pictures, neglecting my own family's pictures in the meantime.  Also, my rates are going to increase a little for clients who haven't booked yet, because all of this work for only $100 is simply wearing me out!

Anyway, on to Thanksgiving.  Our second Thanksgiving away from ND.  Our second Thanksgiving where I needed to figure out what the heck to do without cooking a humongous meal for 2 1/2 people to eat with most of it going bad in the fridge.  So we went out to the Holiday Inn for brunch, joining many elderly folks in a quiet banquet room with no lines to the food...wonderful.  Then we kind of accidentally made a good meal.  We did make way too much ham, but other than that, it was perfect...and easy!

And super yummy and simply -  Buttery Sweet Potatoes

And then Dane, very surprisingly, let us put up the Christmas Tree!  Eben LOVED it (Bode was sleeping).  He was so excited, dancing around to the Christmas music, and putting up a ton of ornaments - all done without his pants on.  He has a bit of an obsession lately with taking off his pants and running around in his diaper all night.  Not sure why, but whatever...at least he keeps his diaper on!

Now to teach him about Santa Claus so he is just as excited on Christmas Morning :)
