So we have an averaged height baby with a large head and a bit of an eating disorder. Nah...doctor wasn't concerned. She just said he is an active breast-fed baby and has very typical stats. Also, the physician aide initially measured him super wrong, putting his height in the 11% - considering Eben was always in the 95% or higher, I demanded a redo, and she was one whole inch off, so glad I did!
Sleep: I am writing this on a great week. Though last week he was sick and waking up a couple more times a night, the last four days he has slept from 7pm to 8:15am-ish with one feeding in between somewhere! It has been AMAZING. AND the best part is that he doesn't wake up crying - he wakes up cooing and will just lay there for about 20 minutes, which gives me a little time to wake up, sometimes sneak out of the room to shower. AND Eben is consistently sleeping until about 8:30am and he also just chills in his room for a while, staying IN his big boy bed. I don't mean to brag, but it's all incredibly awesome :) Bode also goes to sleep on his own like the biggest rockstar in the world. No crying ever anymore. Simply wonderful.
Development: He still has the army crawl mastered and has started attempting to crawl. He will get up on all fours, take a few crawl-steps, and then plop down on his belly and army crawl. I am sure he is thinking this regular crawling stuff takes much too long so he will do what he is good at. He has figured out how to gracefully go from sitting up to army crawling, but hasn't learned how to go the other way, which I anticipate will cause some more sleep issues when he does, so no rush on that. Bode has TWO teeth, both on the bottom. The first came around 7 1/2 months (which I forgot to write about), and the second about a month later. He doesn't teethe too well, but it could be worse.
Personality: We are getting more and more giggles out of him, but it's still tough. He sure is smiley though. I just love the looks he gives me and he makes it so obvious how much he loves each of us. He is squealing and babbling a lot now, usually as he roams around the toy room and kitchen floor. I think he is going to be a bit of a naughty toddler though because he is already getting into everything! Also, Bode seems like a tough boy. He rarely lets out a good cry when he gets hurt, usually just a whimper or a sad face...this is refreshing because Eben has been a bit sensitive since birth.
Sibling Relationship: Oh the love...it's so precious. Eben seriously loves Bode so much...he even will randomly say, without prompting, "I love you, Bode!" or, "Mommy, I love Bode." The way they look at each other is so precious. Eben will try to get Bode to laugh by tickling him, saying funny things in his face, or playing peek-a-boo. And Bode looks at him like Eben is the best thing in his world. Below there is a picture of Eben's arm in a picture with Bode - he is tickling Bode and the look Bode is giving him is what I see all day. Now, don't get me wrong, Eben still gets annoyed with Bode on a regular basis because Bode gets into his stuff, but these moments happen more.
Other: I just love having two little boys...
***Here are a bajillion photos of Bode I did a couple of days ago, and I threw some in of Eben as well. I was excited because I think I captured a lot of his personality in these shots. What am I going to do when my little baby model turns into a toddler and doesn't let me do this anymore?!

Another attempt at the Christmas light background - went okay, but I still haven't perfected it. View my first attempt here. I think I need a bigger home. Dane? Wanna move?

LOL, these Rudolph pictures are ridiculous, I know, but I thought I would share my attempt anyway!

Had to do a baby butt shot...
Great sibling shot, huh...honestly the best I can get these days.

Eben wanted to get in the action too...but didn't quite cooperate.

No pants on Eben...as I mentioned in a previous post, he has a bit of an obsession lately to be pants-less at home.

I love the ones of him laughing, and the one where he looks like he is doing push ups! (Isn't that a yoga pose? I'm blanking on the name...) He is adorable.
