First Winter Shoot

A friend of mine wanted me to do some family pics for her...not only was it my first cold winter shoot, but also my first paid shoot EVER.  Big deal for this girl, haha.  Due to the fact that it was my first winter shoot AND first paid shoot...the pressure was seriously on.  To be honest, it was the toughest shoot ever for me because it was cold which Emma did not care for one bit, overcast (lighting wasn't ideal), and most of the indoor locations we thought of also didn't have much light due to the overcast sky.  Because I am currently only a natural light girl, this was an "uh oh" moment for me.  Regardless of the elements, I did manage to get some shots I was happy with:

For any of you who know anything about ISO - I was forced to use ISO 1600 for the next 3 shots...oh so not good...but with some post processing, I think they turned out alright considering.

  1. I think these pictures are quite good considering all of the factors that were not ideal. The coloring was really good and the subjects were beautiful and seemed to cooperate. I hope they were happy with the pictures. And of course I am your mom and think everything you do is spectacular!!! Good first paid shoot Kari!!
