Bode's Birthday Pics - Round One!

I had WAY too much fun with Bode's first birthday pictures.  Planning and making props has been keeping me busy for the past month or so.  I did four separate mini shoots on three separate days.  I was hoping Bode would be walking by now, or at least standing on his own, but that is not the case.  He also doesn't stay put when standing up next to something because about a week ago he finally figured out how to get down after he pulls himself up.  He LOVES to crawl right now too, which makes photos a bit harder.  I have officially lost my easy baby model - so I had to get creative to figure out how to keep him in one place for longer than a second.  I will start by posting my least favorite and each blog post will get better than the last (in my opinion anyway).  I have LOTS of pics to share so sorry for the mega picture overload!




So I made this circle banner with high hopes of using it indoors, but I just couldn't my set up to be big enough to have it far away from him for it to look good.  We decided to use it outside and it worked okay...gotta brainstorm to figure out a better way to use it.

He was NOT a fan of sitting there and smiling, haha.





We decided to put him behind the banner and he was MUCH happier.









I was really hoping to get a pic of him standing or walking with the balloons, but he is still only crawling so the picnic table had to do.  I would have loved to have him even just sitting in the grass with them, but he's not a fan of grass yet and just cries, haha.
