So we are back in AA, and have been for quite about a week. Getting back to our routine and hoping that these monster behaviors Eben has been having since returning are just anger and sadness about not being with family and friends in Fargo anymore and him dealing with a decrease in attention on him...please let it be a short adjustment! I am pretty sure this is the problem because throughout the day he has been randomly listing off each person he can think of that we left in Fargo (ahhh, Ashley, ahhhh, Michael, ahhhh Logie, ahhh, Papa, ahhh, Nana, ahhh, Nampa, ahhh, Nama...etc etc...so very cute).
We had an awesome time in Fargo - couldn't have been better. Eben adjusted much better this time, giving family hugs right away in the airport (in January he just cried practically every time someone looked at him). He still had some serious separation anxiety, but nothing we couldn't handle. He had SO much fun playing with his little cousins and hanging out with grandmas and grandpas and other family/friends. He has returned to AA a messier, rougher-playing kid, but that's okay because he is a kid...and a boy for that matter. (Oh and in case you were wondering, Bode adjusted perfectly and just came back to AA bigger and a longer sleeper).
I had a lot of free time, specifically some Eben-free time. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid more than words can express, but it is sure nice to get some breaks from the craziness a toddler brings. He has even developed many new words that I do not understand because I wasn't there when he learned them so I have NO idea what he is saying...I guess that's what happens when I am not with him every second like usual.
Here are just a few more pictures from our time in ND:
This is our nephew James...can you guess who his favorite character is right now? He insists on wearing something Spiderman related every single day, and he is happiest when he has his Spiderman shirt, Spiderman hat, Spiderman glasses, and Spiderman shoes on all at the same time...too funny.
James and Dane are good buddies.
This is what happens when you try to take pictures of four children under the age of 4...total disaster.
My wonderful brother and sister-in-law :)
