Swimming Update

Eben has enjoyed 3 sessions of swimming now.  He seems to like the water, although he is pretty serious-faced most of the time.  The instructors warned us last week that this week we are going to be working on submerging...I was like, yeah right I don't think so.  Last week I tried to get the little guy to blow bubbles and he ended up inhaling, choking on the water like crazy...coughing, flailing his arms, gagging, the whole works.  Well, under the pressure of swimming lessons, I gave it a shot.  I blew in Eben's face and quickly dunked him under and pulled him back up.  Good news is he had no cries any of the 3 times he did this.  Bad news is it was terrifying for me every time.  He proved to me, however, that he is capable of being a little fish, which apparently is something babies are good at.  Next week, on to life jackets!
